The 1964 1/2 Ford Mustang was on display along with several other high valued vintage automobiles and music memrobilia including guitars and signed record albums belonging to rock legends such as Elvis, Buddy Holly and The Beatles. The fire reportedly started under the hood of a 1968 Oldsmobile valued at $75,000. An early fire detection system and fast response from the Wauconda Fire Department saved one of the most iconic pieces of automotive Americana. Damage to the museum is estimated to be about $250K with most of it being smoke related. The owner of this Mustang estimates it's worth at $5 Million.
