Jemand hat ein klein wenig Spionagearbeit geleistet ;) und etwas Interessantes rausgefunden, das die Gerüchte ein klein wenig erhärtet:
The "5.0" fender badge was first introduced on the 1979 Ford Mustang and it was used to designate the vehicles 5-liter 302 cubic-inch Ford small block V-8. From 1979 - 1993 many refinements were made to the 5-liter V-8 but one thing which stayed constant was the "5.0" fender badge.

According to a forum member over at TheMustangSource forums the"5.0" fender badge will make it's return for the 2011 Ford Mustang GT. The forum member came by way of this news doing a little detective work in the Ford parts database finding a part number for the 2011 "5.0" badge.

The "5.0" badge with it's black trim and two chrome numbers with a red dot in the middle was probably one of the most recognizable fender badges of the 70's, 80's and 90's. Will the "5.0" fender badge return in past form or will it be modernized to fit the times, until then your guess is as good as mine. I am just glad the badge will return for the 2011 Ford Mustang GT.

More digging from the forum member in the parts database also turned up part numbers for the 3.7-liter V-6 4V auto and standard transmission, 5.0-liter 4V standard and auto transmission and a 5.4-liter 4V supercharged motor.

Und weiter gehen die Spekulationen...
The enginners from Ford have started working on improving the new Mustang generation. The main modifications consist in mounting a new engine, as well as upgrading the tyres.

For the 2011 version of the Ford Mustang GT, the auto builders from Ford have chosen a new V8 5 liter engine with 32 valves, which outputs a maximum of 400HP and a torque of 542Nm. This new engine is currently known under the code name Coyote. By choosing this engine, the Ford Mustang GT will be able to match its main rival, the Chevrolet Camaro SS, which has a maximum of 426HP.

The new Mustang GT will probably be equipped with Pirelli P Zero Corsa tyres, which could be part of the optional package called Track Pack. The same tyres are used on the Ferrari F430 Scuderia. This modification giwill probably give the Mustang GT better handling, as well as higher speed.
